Lublin, Poland – September 30, 2026 – The Medical University of Lublin welcomed its incoming American Track students during Orientation Week, held from September 23 to 30, 2026. The week provided students with an opportunity to become familiar with the University, settle into life in Lublin, and prepare for the beginning of their medical education.
Students began arriving in Poland on September 23, with many being welcomed at Warsaw Chopin Airport and provided with transportation to Lublin. For several students, this was their first visit to Poland, making the assistance provided during their arrival particularly helpful.
University staff, including members of the MUL International team, were actively involved in helping students settle into their new surroundings. In addition to coordinating airport transportation, the team assisted students with moving into their apartments, becoming familiar with their accommodations, and addressing practical matters associated with living in a new country. These efforts helped students feel more comfortable and allowed them to focus on preparing for their studies.
The formal orientation program began on September 24, introducing students to the University’s academic structure, curriculum, policies, and expectations. Throughout the week, students attended informational sessions, met University representatives, and learned about the resources and services available to support them during their medical education.
The orientation also provided an opportunity for students to become familiar with the University campus and the city of Lublin. Students were able to ask questions about their academic program, daily life in Poland, and what to expect as they began their first year of medical school.
Parents and family members who accompanied students to Lublin were also welcomed to participate in the initial orientation activities. Their involvement gave families an opportunity to become familiar with the University and gain a better understanding of the environment in which their children would be studying.
One of the highlights of the week was seeing students begin to form friendships with their new classmates. Coming from different backgrounds and experiences, they quickly became acquainted through the orientation activities and their shared experience of beginning medical school in a new country.
The American Track at the Medical University of Lublin provides students with the opportunity to complete the basic sciences portion of their medical education in Poland before continuing their clinical training in the United States. The program is an important part of the University’s international medical education offerings, combining its established academic curriculum with clinical training opportunities in the American healthcare system.
By the conclusion of Orientation Week on September 30, students had settled into their accommodations, become familiar with the University, and were ready to begin their academic studies. Classes officially commenced on October 1, followed by the White Coat Ceremony on October 2, 2026.
The successful completion of Orientation Week reflected the preparation and coordinated efforts of the University faculty, administration, and staff involved in welcoming the incoming class. From arrival arrangements and accommodations to academic orientation and student support, considerable attention was given to ensuring a smooth transition for students beginning their medical education in Lublin.
For the incoming American Track students, the week marked the beginning of an important new chapter. Along with preparing for the academic challenges ahead, students had the opportunity to make new friends, explore their new surroundings, and begin feeling at home in Lublin.
The Medical University of Lublin extends a warm welcome to its newest American Track students and wishes them a successful and rewarding academic year.
