MUL International Hosts Successful Open House for Students Across All Programs at the Medical University of Lublin

Lublin, Poland – November 2025
The Medical University of Lublin and MUL International held a highly successful Open House this week for students from all divisions of the University. Thanks to the support by Ms. Magda Staskiewicz, Head of Innovative Education, Dr. Jerry Jacob, MD, PhD, Assistant Dean of the School of Medicine, Ms. Olga Marcinko, Head of the Office for students of the International Program, Mr. Julius Romero, Senior Advisor at MUL International,  and Ms. Ewa Straszak, Financial Aid Director, the event brought together students from the Polish Program, the English Division, and the International MD pathways—including students from across Asia, the Middle East, North America, Africa, and Europe—reflecting MUL’s vibrant and diverse academic community.

The Open House was designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the many resources, opportunities, and academic pathways available both on campus in Lublin and through MUL International’s U.S.-based support structure. Representatives from the MUL Rectorate, faculty leadership, and multiple administrative offices joined MUL International advisors to engage directly with students and answer questions about academic planning, clinical training, and career development.

Wide Participation From All Student Groups

Students representing every cohort and year of study attended the sessions, demonstrating strong interest in the University’s expanding global footprint. Participants included students from:

  • The Polish-language Medical Program
  • The International Program
    • American, Asian, Middle Eastern, African, and European groups pursuing the 6-Year and advanced medical pathways

The diverse turnout underscored the shared enthusiasm among MUL’s student body for international academic opportunities and cross-continental medical training.

Engaged Discussions with University & MUL International Officials

Throughout the Open House, students actively engaged in dialogue with MUL International officials to learn more about:

  • Academic support services available throughout all six years of the MD Program
  • Opportunities to complete U.S.-based clinical rotations at accredited teaching hospitals
  • USMLE Step preparation guidance offered through MUL International
  • Career pathways for graduates pursuing residency training in the United States or Canada
  • Student support initiatives available both in Lublin and during the transition to clinical education abroad

Session was structured to encourage open conversation, allowing students to share their experiences, raise questions, and receive personalized guidance from advisors familiar with both European and North American medical training systems.

Highlighting the U.S. Clinical Training Pathway

A major point of interest was the American Track, which allows eligible MUL students to complete three years of Basic Medical Sciences in Lublin followed by three years of clinical rotations in the United States. MUL International advisors outlined the structure of the pathway, discussed expectations for U.S. clinical training, and emphasized MUL’s long-standing partnerships with accredited teaching hospitals across the United States.

Students expressed strong enthusiasm for the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the U.S. healthcare system—an invaluable advantage for those planning to pursue residency placement in North America.

Strengthening Student–University Collaboration

The event also served as a forum for students to discuss academic challenges, share feedback, and explore opportunities for deeper engagement with University leadership. Many students voiced appreciation for MUL’s continued commitment to supporting international medical education and expanding opportunities for global clinical training.

University administrators noted that the success of the Open House reflects MUL’s ongoing dedication to fostering a supportive, student-centered, and collaborative learning environment for learners from around the world.

A Resounding Success

Both University officials and MUL International representatives described the event as one of the most successful campus engagements of the year. The strong attendance, active participation, and constructive conversations highlighted the importance of continued dialogue between the University, MUL International, and the diverse student community.

Both the University and MUL International expressed their gratitude to all students who attended and reaffirmed their joint mission to support MUL students throughout their academic journey—from Lublin to the United States and beyond.
